We continued developing the Barra solid wood table, which we presented last year, and supplemented this successful model with the Carim bench, also designed by Atelier I+N, Nathan and Ismaël Studer. This is a minimalist and elegant bench that comes with a choice of an A-frame to match Barra or alternatively a sleigh leg frame, which means that it can also be combined easily with other table models. As well as the standard upholstery option, a version with button tufting is also offered, which gives the bench a luxurious and classic character. Carim is available with or without a backrest.
Furthermore, the Barra model has been enhanced with the introduction of an extendable version. With a smooth synchronous extension mechanism, tables in the standard lengths of 180 cm, 200 cm and 220 cm can be extended by an additional 100 cm. The legs remain in place while the extension can be pulled out instantly to create space for additional guests. At IMM, we presented a version in American walnut with sapwood and an oiled surface.
Another new product is the Linar solid wood table, designed by Mathias Seiler. Thanks to its four-legged, flat-steel structure, it has a sleek and slender appearance while also providing a high degree of stability, which allows for lengths of up to four metres. The edges of the solid wood tabletop are bevelled, further emphasizing the table’s sophisticated character.
