Extensive refurbishment of the auditorium of the chimney sweep academy in Dülmen resulted in a modern and future-proof design. Both the furnishings and the technical equipment were completely replaced and brought up to date with the latest technical standards. The project involved the use of 80 Linq swivel chairs with a chair guiding system.

Instead of the original auditorium seating arrangement, a new, individually planned seating and table combination now ensures maximum comfort, allowing for ergonomic and healthy sitting with individual adjustments possible. A total of 80 seats were installed on a sloping platform construction, distributed over eight tiers.

Technical implementation is based on a chair guiding system combined with seat shells mounted on a gas spring for the height-adjustable and tiltable Linq swivel chair. This concept combines flexible usage with a consistent orderly appearance, inspired by proven solutions in parliamentary chambers, for example.

Particularities

Students can adjust their seating position individually, as the chairs can still be moved despite being firmly anchored to the floor.

The chair guiding system ensures that the rows always remain orderly and visually appealing after use.

The combination of platform construction, ergonomic Linq swivel chairs with synchronised tilting function and cutting-edge media technology meets all the requirements of a modern and future-proof learning environment.
