École hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Lausanne, Switzerland

A spacious lounge provides a high-quality environment

Founded in 1893, the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) is the first and oldest hospitality management school in the world. On an international level, it was named the best and most important educational establishment of its kind in 2020.
Since it started, it has trained over 25,000 managers in the area of hospitality management. There are currently more than 3,397 students from 121 countries attending its courses.

The interiors of the lounge and common areas of the campus building, which was redesigned in a student architectural competition, were planned by atelier oï and furnished using various modules from the business lounge programme Velum. The generous spaces were thus structured to provide students with a high-quality environment, some sound-proofing and privacy.
