Interior and “INN” chair by Fritz Jakob Gräber for Restaurant Blau
For the opening of the “Blau” restaurant at Hotel Greulich in Zurich, Fritz Jakob Gräber designed the interior and, most notably, a new chair – the “INN”. Gräber developed the initial prototypes while studying for his Master's degree at ECAL in Lausanne. After one year in development and numerous trials in Girsberger’s test laboratories, the chair’s development ran its course – from the prototype to the small-series chair model for the restaurant project.

The asymmetrically mounted backrest, crafted from solid ash, is steam-bent and CNC milled. The chair is a gem of unusual character, as its appearance changes depending on the angle from which it is viewed. As a finish, a varnish in dark forest green or matt black was applied.
