Federal Constitutional Court, Karlsruhe, Germany

Imposing lounge furniture in the foyer

The listed building occupied by the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe was comprehensively renovated and refurbished from 2011 to 2014. Inside, the sanitary installations were renovated, and new radiators, floor coverings and furniture were installed.

The original building complex, inaugurated on 6 May 1969, was designed by Berlin architect Paul Baumgarten. Today the façade of the building appears unchanged, and the foyer with its groups of chairs also retains its original character and the architect's signature style.
