Special recognition for the Incycle soft seating programme
The Incycle soft seating programme has been awarded gold in the final round of the jury selection for the iF Design Award 2025. Just 75 out of the almost 11,000 submissions received the coveted iF Gold Trophy, which was awarded by an independent jury of 131 design experts.

»During the Covid-19 pandemic, many homes were converted into offices. As companies now rediscover the value of face-to-face collaboration, they’re drawing people back to the office by making it a more comfortable place to be. Girsberger’s Incycle series was designed to facilitate informal meetings, brainstorming sessions or even a relaxing coffee break – all in keeping with the circular economy.«
The material cycle
Incycle is a new seating programme from Girsberger that was designed and developed from the outset on the basis of a circular material concept. Made from 90 to 95 percent recycled materials, the programme is closely aligned with the requirements of the circular economy.
Design: Mathias Seiler
Born in 1963, Mathias Seiler studied industrial design under Professor Dieter Rams at the HFBK University of Fine Arts Hamburg. He worked internationally as a product designer for various renowned furniture manufacturers, and received numerous awards. Mathias Seiler has had overall responsibility for design and marketing at Girsberger since 2010.
