Rooms for community life
The new parish hall of the Catholic parish of Einsiedeln was designed to be barrier-free and open. It was to become a place where people from all walks of life could come together and enjoy a sense of community.

The parish used to be based in the neighbouring Einsiedeln Monastery, which is a landmark of the area – now the new building also houses the secretariat, pastoral team, staff and parish. The new parish hall in the "Einsiedlerhof" area takes its cue from medieval models in rural simplicity. The barn-like building with its open roof truss adds another courtyard to the church, giving the complex a monastic feel.

Whether for mourning and discussions or festive occasions such as baptisms, weddings, celebrations or everyday encounters – the new building offers a spacious hall, a bright foyer, group rooms, a youth room and the contemplative "heavenly room". A church café is well worth a visit after the church services.
The mobile furniture from Girsberger can be configured to suit the occasion and the required number of people and can be used on site.

When selecting the furniture, as with the building itself, great importance was attached to aspects of sustainability. This was one of the reasons for choosing the soft seating programme Incycle, which consists of 90% to 95% post-consumer recycled materials, and the Nava chairs with seat shells also made from post-consumer recycled material.
