The name La Punt means "the bridge" in Romansh, and indicates the idea behind this furniture design. A solid wood console acts as a bridge supporting drawers and shelves. The bevelled edges give the wooden bridge a slender, delicate appearance. The front of the drawers and the shelves are made from a thin solid core panel. They are also available with a FENIX coating, a matt nanotech material which makes the surface elegant and soft to the touch.

Design

Mathias Seiler

Born in 1963, he studied industrial design at Hamburg University of Fine Arts under the tutelage of Prof. Dieter Rams. He has worked internationally as a product designer for various renowned furniture makers and has received numerous awards. Mathias Seiler has had overall responsibility for design and marketing at Girsberger since 2010.
