Sustainable working environment at new development site
Oechsner Architekten Ingenieure planned a sustainable building on the Skyline Hill campus that meets the highest environmental standards. The new site provides space for up to 300 employees. It is intended to promote a modern working culture and offer the ideal conditions for the further growth of the manufacturer of smart watches and navigation devices.
Modern working environment for ideal working conditions
The new office building offers a working environment that meets the latest standards and supports interaction, with open and flexible working areas encouraging close collaboration and creativity within teams. Height-adjustable desks and ergonomic office swivel chairs as well as numerous meeting areas allow staff to vary their posture and ensure a pleasant working environment.
“Our new office building is the perfect fit for Garmin, as creativity and teamwork are part of our DNA. These new premises not only offer ideal working conditions but also promote the kind of positive working atmosphere we can enjoy every single day,” says Johannes Angenvoort, Managing Director of Garmin Würzburg.
To top it all, a canteen and a fitness studio are also available to staff.
Garmin is busy with R&D work in the automotive, fitness, outdoor and marine sectors at the Würzburg site, as well as with designing and marketing corporate health solutions.
Innovative construction
Sustainability played a key role not just in the construction of the building, but also in the interior design and furnishing, and the resulting “green building” meets the requirements of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. One of the reasons why Girsberger products were chosen for the furnishings.
