Theater Basel, Switzerland

458 theatre seats overhauled. Recovered with full-grain leather and tension springs renewed.

Theater Basel was founded in 1834 and has a long history steeped in tradition. The current theatre building dates from 1975. In 2010, the Office of Civil Engineering of the City of Basel approved the renovation of the seating for the Kleine Bühne stage. During an eight-week period, a total of 458 theatre chairs were dismantled and covered with new full-grain leather. All the metal frames were checked and the tension springs replaced. All the folding seats were then delivered on time.
